Thousands of Southern California residents will face the threat of Santa Ana winds again. Southern California Edison (responsible for energy supply) already scheduled power shutoffs in many areas.

WHAT IS HAPPENING? 

According to recent experience, especially after what happened last year with the most destroying wildfires in California’s history, the State Government and local companies have been working together to mitigate the risk of fires causing more damage.

National Weather Service

The National Weather Service is warning for elevated winds to increase the chances of wildfires between Monday and Thursday of this week, while this risk will get lower throughout the weekend.

Southern California Edison is scheduling power shutoffs over the entire region in order to control any possible damage:
