Prosecutors are looking forward to seek a sentence between 4 and 10 months of jail time for actress Felicity Huffman as of her role in the “college admissions scandal”. While the investigation is still on course and many more might be facing charges, this stain will be hard to clean for many universities.

Last week 13 parents agreed to plead guilty for conspiracy and fraud charges. More than 30 parents have been already accused of taking advantage of their “financial resources” to cheat SAT tests for their kids while offering bribes to college administrators and coaches who decided admissions.

The actress of “Desperate Housewives” agreed to plead guilty of paying approximately $15,000 to a fake organisation related to Rick Singer, the one that acted as the “middle man” between universities and parents. He made a big business through this system by bribing coaches and administrators to “admit” some students as of their “capacities” in certain sports in order to get them in.

In one of her last statements, Huffman apologised for her behaviour “I am ashamed of the pain I have caused my daughter, my family, my friends, my colleagues and the educational community. I want to apologize to them and, especially, I want to apologize to the students who work hard every day to get into college, and to their parents who make tremendous sacrifices to support their children and do so honestly.”

Is it possible that more universities will appear on this list? Who is in charge of this investigation? Apparently more parents are already contacting their lawyers as they look forward to reach a plea deal before being accused.
